FDJ Becomes a Partner of the Techstars Accelerator in France

FDJ will be involved in the accelerator alongside start-ups to work on the uses and technologies to be implemented to serve its customers. This implication will also benefit the incubation cells internal to FDJ.

For Stéphane Pallez, President and CEO of the FDJ Group: “FDJ is proud to participate in the implementation of the American accelerator Techstars in France. This acceleration program enriches our approach to open innovation and reinforces our immersion within a more international ecosystem. It is part of our FDJ 2020 strategic transformation project focused on the customer of today and tomorrow, working hand in hand with the most ambitious start-ups. By committing ourselves to this, we also want to respond to a societal challenge: to make entrepreneurship, especially in France, a wealth. ”

By embarking on the acceleration program of Techstars in France, FDJ completes its open innovation approach in the service of its strategic transformation project FDJ 2020. This device enriches the group’s ability to identify start-ups of Quality and to qualify the maturity of new technologies. It will take advantage of the rich relations between the expertise of a large company and the agility of young upstarts.

FDJ supports the implementation of Techstars in France within the Partech shaker

With 27 accelerators in the US, Europe and Africa, Techstars, one of the most prestigious US accelerators of startups, moved to Paris in the Partech Shaker, the start-up campus created by the investment fund Partech Ventures. Techstars has benefited from the support of the FDJ group, but also from other renowned corporations: Air Liquide, Groupama Group, Renault Group and Total. All share a common desire: to accompany entrepreneurs to make them grow faster. With some 12,000 startups, Paris wants to assert itself as the future capital of Tech in Europe.

The first promotion of Techstars Paris will be installed at the Partech Skaker in September 2017. It will benefit from a program of acceleration over 13 weeks, supervised by powerful teams, but also by the most prestigious mentors. The selections are now open. Startups can apply via the Techstars website and the Partech Shaker for the chance to be selected from the 10 who will join the program.
