D.C. Lottery Marketing Director John Gorman presented “YouDecide 2016.” The D.C. Lottery is uniquely positioned to leverage the excitement, interest, and earned media opportunities that are generated during a U.S. presidential campaign. YouDecide is a new D.C. instant ticket that allows players to vote on the top prize. When players log on for their second-chance drawing, they can vote for what prize they want: one prize of $201,600, 10 prizes of $20,160 or 100 prizes of $2,160.
“The goal with this ticket is to go big and to reach a large demographic. But a second goal is to make inroads with millennials who are an under index demographic. This is a ticket that appeals to them,” Gorman said.
In the first five weeks, players have already put in 14,000 second-chance entries in five weeks. The next closest was 10 over 26 weeks. The ticket also is indexing at 141, which means it’s the best ticket in this fiscal year for the D.C. Lottery.
