Loto-Québec and the Fondation Aléo have unveiled the latest edition of their bursary program for Quebec para-athletes under the theme “mettre la lumière sur la force de la différence” (highlighting the strength of difference). The 2026 cohort recognizes 13 para-athletes representing a range of disciplines, with collaborating sports organizations spanning Parasports Québec, Ski de fond Québec, Hockey Québec, and the Fédération de natation du Québec, among others. Bursaries are paired with leadership training, workshops, and lifetime access to Fondation Aléo’s network of services.
The program is now in its 18th edition. Loto-Québec has supported the Fondation since 2007, and the partnership focuses exclusively on athletes living with physical or sensory limitations. Eric Meunier, Director of Responsible Gaming at Loto-Québec, said it is “always a pleasure to support several top para-athletes in their quest for excellence.”
