The Connecticut Lottery Corp.’s lucrative separation agreement last year with former CEO Anne Noble–signed after the state Department of Consumer Protection launched an inquiry into fraud allegations related to a lottery game–has drawn criticism.
Now the legislature’s public safety committee wants answers.
The panel has scheduled an informational hearing Tuesday morning and has called lottery officials in to answer questions.
“As the co chairman of the committee with oversight of the Connecticut Lottery, I believe an open and transparent information hearing is warranted into the 5 Card Cash game and the severance package of the former CEO,” said Rep. Joe Verrengia, D-West Hartford.
