    U.S. Lottery Sports Betting Update

    Montana has two bills up that would legalize additional sports betting measures in the state, one originating in the House and the other from the Senate. The House bill would put the Montana Lottery in charge of sports betting. It has passed the House and has its first meeting in the Senate. The Senate bill would legalize sports betting for private operators. It has been approved by the Senate and will makes its way to the House soon.

    Ohio has two bills up that would legalize sports betting in the state. The House bill gives authority too the Ohio Lottery Commission, while the senate bill gives authority to the Casino Control Commission. The House bill would levy a 10 percent tax on sports gaming receipts.

    Tennessee’s mobile sports betting bill has passed through a house committee and will now be voted on.
