The Tennessee Legislature has passed a bill that will allow mobile sports betting. The Tennessee Lottery will regulate online, interactive and mobile gaming and oversee the licensing of gaming companies. The licensing fee will be $750,000 to operate. Licensed companies will also pay a $20% privilege tax, of which 80% will go toe the lottery scholarship programs.
Gov. Bill Lee will not sign the bill, however, he will not stop it either, allowing the bill to become law without his signature.
The bill only allows mobile sports betting.
