SALEM, Oregon – The Oregon Lottery is poised to launch a new professional sports betting mobile app. The app, Scoreboard, requires users to be in Oregon, be over the age of 21 and sets limits on how often you can increase your gambling limit.
Matt Shelby with the Oregon Lottery said they expect $350 million in wagers via the app in the first year.
“When you look at a three year window we’re talking tens of millions of dollars back to the state, not hundreds of millions,” Shelby explained.
He said Scoreboard will be available in a matter of weeks. It was originally hoped the app would start at the beginning of the NFL season, but the testing on various platforms wasn’t done in time.
