The Oregon Lottery discussed the start of Scoreboard, the lottery’s sports betting application, with their Board of Commissioners. The lottery could lose money over its first nine months in operations due to startup costs, ban on college betting and smaller returns than expected.
Commissioners indicated that the lottery has still done a great job. “I think that for a new revenue stream, you guys have done an amazing job at trying to get your arms around all of this,” Commission Chair MardiLyn Saathoff said.
