The Nebraska Lottery has distributed $12,669,160 to its beneficiary funds from Scratch and Lotto ticket sales over the past three months. Since its establishment in 1993, a total of $936,265,872 has been distributed quarterly. The funds were allocated to the Nebraska Education Improvement Fund, Nebraska Environmental Trust Fund, Nebraska State Fair Support and Improvement Fund, and the Compulsive Gamblers Assistance Fund. The distribution percentages were determined by Amendment 4 passed in 2004. The total funds distributed to date include $144,792,254 for education, $401,483,576 for the environment, $70,679,065 for the state fair, and $20,697,663 for compulsive gamblers’ assistance. The Nebraska Lottery aims to generate proceeds for good causes while providing entertainment options for Nebraskans, benefiting all 93 counties in the state.

The sale of Slovenia’s Sports Lottery has been halted as both candidates, Entain and Superbet, have withdrawn their applications. The Ministry of Finance confirmed the decision, with Entain stating that they will not proceed with the purchase at this time. The sale was pushed by organizations holding a majority stake in the Sports Lottery due to concerns about the opening of the sports betting market. The Olympic Committee of Slovenia, one of the stakeholders, sought a commitment from the buyer to support Slovenian sports development. Superbet was reportedly ready to offer a slightly higher price than Entain.
