Loto-Québec will be marketing targeted summer games to amuse current players and reach occasional lottery players. First off, the lottery launched a sweet treat for players called “Oh! Gelato!” in June.
Who doesn’t dream about enjoying ice cream on a hot summer day? Gelato, an Italian-style ice cream available in a range of flavours, is carving out a larger share of Québec’s ice cream market. “We want to take advantage of this trend to launch a new scratch ticket. It will give our customers a taste of summer since the ticket will smell like strawberries when they scratch it!” said Anne-Marie Voyer, Director of Products & Development at Loto-Québec. This concept will create an opportunity to post playful content on social media, in partnership with La Crémière, a well-known chain of ice cream parlours in Québec.
The ticket costs C$2. The grand prize is C$10,000. Ticket sales began June 14.
Next up July 13, Les voisins game goes on sale because the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.
