La Fleur’s Magazine is launching a new series—Quote of the Week—in fiscal 2022. We will spotlight a different director each week. This week we are spotlighting Gregg Edgar, Executive Director, Arizona Lottery.
What’s ahead for your lottery in FY22?
“’FY22 is going to be a milestone year for the Arizona Lottery from a product development perspective. We will launch a number of new product lines that we hope will push the concept of how lottery thinks about game development. In the fall, we will launch our own version of Quickdraw, which is a draw game product line built for social environments. When fully installed it will have 16 separate games drawn every hour. We hope this line will have a big impact on retailers who were negatively impacted by COVID. We will also be launching a $50 price point in our Scratch line, a new digital concept called Ultimate Playlist and we are in development of a new sweepstakes style game that we think will open the door to new players and new entertainment aspects for Lottery.”
What book are you currently reading?
“I am more of a fiction kind of a guy at the moment and I am rereading Frank Herbert’s Dune. I think this is the quintessential science fiction story personally!”
Where do you plan to vacation in the next six months?
“We just got back from a RV excursion to Colorado Springs and had a wonderful time. Nice to escape Arizona’s heat for a few days. Otherwise, looking forward to doing some short trips to California and Mexico and hoping to make it back to NYC to catch a play in the winter.”
