What’s ahead for your lottery in FY22?
“We are in a significant learning and evaluating period right now, looking closely at what the best lotteries and our vendor partners are implementing in all areas—game design, marketing, promotions, really all aspects of our business. We are not looking for a silver bullet, but carefully assessing how to do everything better. One result of our efforts is that for the first time we will have two $50 instant games in the market at once. We’re also focusing on keeping all our games relevant. We recently upgraded our in-state lotto game with incredible results. We are looking forward to not only growing our Colorado games that are doing so well, but also keeping pace with the multi-state game changes.”
What book are you currently reading?
“I re-read Bill Bryson’s wonderful A Walk in the Woods every few years because I love it, and it reminds me of the important work we do, preserving the great outdoors.”
Where do you plan to vacation in the next six months?
“The Weminuche Wilderness, and maybe Hawaii. Colorado has everything I love, except the beach. No offense to Great Sand Dunes National Park, but it’s missing an ocean.”
