In fiscal 2022, the Pennsylvania Lottery kicked off updates to its Retailer Incentive program. It added Best Practices elements to a lottery retailer’s operation. This is a proven way to increase lottery awareness and boost sales. A retailer must have sales for the entirety of the last fiscal year (fiscal 2021) to be eligible.
“We have updated the Retailer Incentive Program to allow even more retailers to earn bonus money by implementing PA Lottery Best Practices,” said Eric Grubbs, Deputy Executive Director, Sales & Retail Operations, Pennsylvania Lottery.
These Best Practices include:
• Designate a Lottery space and earn a $350 bonus
• Increase indoor and outdoor signage and earn a $350 bonus
• Add a Winner Awareness area and earn a $350 bonus
• Increase counter facings and earn a $500 bonus
If lottery retailers also conduct a Second Chance drawing along with adding all the Best Practices elements, they are eligible to win a bonus of $2,000. (This bonus includes the $450 additional bonus for All-in participation.)
“We take great pride in the fact that we are the only Lottery in the U.S. that dedicates all of its proceeds to benefit older adults. We are already hard at work looking for new and innovative ways to continue responsibly growing our business to support our older residents,” said Grubbs.
