This month, the Illinois Lottery became the first lottery in the U.S. to launch its Fast Play games online.
Fast Play is a quick and easy draw game that gives players a chance to win prizes at the point of purchase without picking numbers, completing play slips, scratching or waiting for draw results. It was first introduced to the Illinois market in retail just over a year ago and is now available online through the Illinois Lottery website and app.
“We’re continuing to build a modern lottery for the future,” said Harold Mays, Acting Director of the Illinois Lottery. “By modernizing the way we deliver our products, we provide convenience for players. With an omnichannel experience, our players can choose to play in retail or online, which strengthens our ability to continue generating essential funding for education and good causes across Illinois.”
Five Fast Play games were launched online this week at different price points, offering players the chance to play for a set jackpot, a progressive jackpot, or to wager a percentage of a progressive jackpot.
The Illinois Lottery’s private manager Camelot Illinois worked closely with its sister company, Camelot Lottery Solutions, to transform the Lottery’s retail Fast Play games into an engaging online play experience.
“The Camelot LS gaming unit has significant experience and notable success in the design and production of pay-to-play games,” said Gareth Moore, VP of Business Operations, Camelot Illinois. “We have developed over 150 online lottery games across a number of jurisdictions – and we’ve now turned that experience and expertise into optimizing the Fast Play experience online for Illinois Lottery players.”
Fast Play is the newest set of games offered by the Illinois Lottery, and it performs an important role in its overall portfolio of games by offering a quick and easy game experience with an immediate outcome.
The Illinois Lottery will continue to develop its Fast Play game offering over the coming months to continue bringing an engaging experience and new ways for its loyal player base to play and win in retail and online.
In a little over a year, 12 million Fast Play tickets have been sold in retail in Illinois bringing home big wins for players, with over $37 million in total prizes won across the State.
