La Fleur’s Magazine’s new series—Quote of the Week—features interviews with lottery directors about what’s ahead for their organizations in fiscal 2022. We will feature a different director each week. This week we are spotlighting Charles McIntyre, Director, New Hampshire Lottery.
What’s ahead for your lottery in FY22?
“We hope to continue to grow all aspects of the business, we’re having such a time trying to care and feed all the verticals the legislature has approved over the past few years: Keno, iLottery, Sports Betting – and they just approved Historic Horse Racing machines at a number of locations across the state. Ensuring all that growth happens smoothly is our number one priority.”
What book are you currently reading?
“The Broken Constitution: Lincoln, Slavery, and the Refounding of America – It’s a fascinating look at how Lincoln essentially altered constitutional thinking and application to suit and remake a new country for equality and freedom.”
Where do you plan to vacation in the next six months?
“I bought a cottage on a lake in the woods of NH – populated by deer, bears, moose, loons and about 1000 other types of creatures – I go there every chance I get.”
