The Missouri Lottery is celebrating the winter with a family reunion. Its new Jackpot Family of Games (FOG) launched Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021 as replacement games for most of the holiday-themed games.
Winter FOG launches are critical to sustaining strong scratcher sales after the holidays are over. “This has typically been our biggest launch period over the last several years and has kept the holiday momentum going,” said Bill Burton, Scratchers Product Manager, Missouri Lottery. The FOG is printed by Scientific Games.
There are four price points offered:
$10 “$1,000,000 Jackpot” (prize payout 74%)
$5 “$100,000 Jackpot” (prize payout 68%)
$2 “$25,000 Jackpot” (prize payout 66%)
$1 “$5,000 Jackpot” (prize payout 62%)
The Missouri Lottery estimates weekly sales of $3.4 million and 0.56 per capita for the combined Jackpot FOG. It also provided the estimated weekly sales and weekly PC sales for individual FOG games below:

There is no paid media support but the FOG will be promoted at retail. “We will provide retail/POS presence,” said Rhonda Fehr, Advertising Manager, Missouri Lottery.
In addition, there are social contests. “New Scratchers releases are featured in a “MO Money Monday Giveaway” on social media, typically the last Monday of the month. The winner receives $300 worth of the new games launching that day,” said Wendy Baker, Communications Manager, Missouri Lottery.
The FOG is also supported through special players’ club promotions. “Players who enter all four FOG tickets receive a wheel spin to earn Draw Points, Prize Points or instant-win coupons in the My Lottery® Players Club,” reported Kristin Vuilcott, Draw Games Product Manager, Missouri Lottery.
