In her La Fleur’s Magazine interview about FY23 developments, Isabelle Jean, EVP-Chief of Lottery Operations at Loto-Quebec talked about major retail and marketing programs.
First, there are changes ahead for “Formule super groupe,” which enables players to purchase one or more shares in a group and pool them with the shares of the other members. This feature is offered for Lotto Max, Québec Max, Lotto 6/49, Québec 49 and Extra.
“Our new group offer Formule super groupe will maximise the potential of this segment by giving players the chance to join groups of up to 100 people, all the while enabling retailers to avoid creating group tickets that are left unsold. Several communication tools and activities were developed to inform and reassure retailers ahead of the launch,” said Jean.
Providing players additional opportunities also launched in FY23. “We launched our second chance program earlier this summer, giving customers an additional chance to win online for all our lottery games. We chose to do a gradual roll-out beginning with our draw-based games before adding all our scratch games, both in-store and online. This initiative will enable us to know more about our customers, especially in-store customers, and aid us in reaching them directly,” explained Jean.
There will be no new draw games added in FY23. “Due to the Canada-wide launch of the new and improved Lotto 6/49 flagship brand, we will not be bringing any new draw-based games to market in 2023,” said Jean.
