In his La Fleur’s Magazine interview about FY23 developments, Adam Prock, Executive Director of Minnesota Lottery, talked about the new lottery app as well as in-store POP.
“One of our biggest projects that we’re looking forward to launching this fiscal year is a mobile app. We’re excited to connect with our players in a new way and ultimately provide a better experience for our customers,” said Prock.
The Minnesota Lottery is currently testing digital menu boards at a select number of retailers. “The electronic digital display of our scratch game lineup is much more dynamic, eye-catching, and really helps bring our scratch games to life. Depending on the results of this pilot program, we hope to bring these displays to more retailers later this year,” explained Prock.
In terms of retail developments, the Minnesota Lottery is monitoring the expansion of self-checkout to convenience stores. “This is a trend we will be watching closely as it could have a big impact on how lottery products are purchased. We’ll also be putting our focus on monitoring sales patterns. There have been a lot of unknowns over the last couple of years, so we’ll continue to watch the market to better understand customers’ shopping patterns and behaviors at retail to determine the best way to engage with customers moving forward,” said Prock.
