The state Senate voted against Senate Bill 57 that would have allowed sports betting online and in-person, while two other sports betting bills, House Bill 380 and Senate Resolution 140, also failed to move forward. Recent polls have indicated strong public support for legalizing sports betting in Georgia, with about six in 10 Georgians in favor of it.
