CHICAGO, IL — November 20, 2018 – Camelot Global has been awarded two international security certifications in recognition of its operations within the highest global security standards.
The certifications – the International Organisation for Standardization Information Security Management System Standard (ISO 27001:2013) and the World Lottery Association Security Control Standard (WLA SCS: 2016) – provide an objective measure of Camelot’s security control and risk management performance in line with accepted best practice.
“Integrity, security and transparency play a critical role in maintaining the confidence and trust of lottery players, which enables lotteries to sustainably grow,” says Camelot Global Chief Executive, Wayne Pickup.
“These security certifications recognise the world-class standards supporting Camelot’s customers and their players.”
The ISO standard covers all corporate functions and specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, maintaining, and improving Camelot’s information security management systems. The WLA standard builds on ISO and specifies the required practices for an effective security management structure by which a lottery operator or supplier maintains the integrity, availability, and control of information vital to its secure operation.
In order to obtain certification, Camelot adhered to a robust process, with two separate independent audits ensuring that all separate ISO security control requirements and lottery-specific WLA controls were satisfied.
