Camelot Lottery Solutions’ annual 5km walk at the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries 2019 conference in Little Rock, Arkansas, saw delegates flock to support local charity Easterseals Arkansas.

The annual 5km walk, that builds on the positive legacy of the lottery industry in supporting good causes in local communities, took place on the morning of 18 September and followed a winding path along the Arkansas River Trail.

Camelot Lottery Solutions pledged to donate $100 to Easterseals Arkansas for each conference attendee who joined the walk. The total funds raised of $10,000 will benefit the local Little Rock community through Easterseals’ vital work.

For more than 75 years, Easterseals Arkansas has been a resource for people with disabilities and their families. Its mission is to provide exceptional services to ensure that all people with disabilities or special needs have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play in their communities.

Wayne Pickup, CEO of Camelot Lottery Solutions, said, “Lotteries exist to benefit local communities, so I’m delighted that so many NASPL delegates joined us in aid of Easterseals Arkansas.

“Our 5km walk for charity was designed to give delegates at the annual North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries conference an opportunity to raise money for the local community of the host city, while catching up with colleagues.

“Little Rock has been a fantastic host city for the lottery industry’s major annual conference and I’m proud that Camelot Lottery Solutions could support Easterseals Arkansas’ important work.”

Stephanie Smith, CEO of Easterseals Arkansas said, “The mission of Easterseals Arkansas is to change the way the world views and defines disabilities by making profound, positive differences every day.

“To achieve that mission and to ‘take on disability together’ requires the support of, and ultimately, funding from our local community.

“We are incredibly thankful for the donation from funds raised through Camelot Lottery Solutions’s 5km walk around Little Rock.”

Bishop Woosley, President of the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries said, “As an Arkansan myself, I couldn’t have been prouder that Little Rock hosted the annual conference of the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries this year.

“Lotteries around the country raise funds for good causes and work closely with charitable organizations just like Easterseals, who are so important to their local communities.

“Camelot’s 5k charity walk is fast becoming a fixture of our annual NASPL conference and I’m extremely thankful to the many folk from all over the US and Canada who got up early to benefit our local community here in Arkansas.”
