2026 will feature three Friday the 13ths (February, March, and November), something France has not had in more than a decade, and FDJ is packaging each date as a one-off “Super Loto” event draw. Think of it as an event edition of Loto, the underlying game stays familiar, but the offer is made to feel special through things like the stake, a guaranteed headline jackpot, and an expanded “code” component, typically supported by a dedicated play slip. For these Friday-13 editions, the ticket is €3, the advertised jackpot is €13 million, and there are 50 winning codes worth €20,000 each (versus 10 codes in a standard Loto draw). FDJ began pushing the promotion from Saturday, February 7, leading into the first Friday-13 Super Loto on February 13, and it is using its consumer channels to spell out the mechanics and timing.
On the creative side, FDJ is extending its BETC “T’as gagné au LOTO ou quoi?” (“Did you win at LOTO or what?”) campaign world with two new films, “@Mamimosa” and “Les Dents de la Mère,” (Mother’s Teeth) built around the same grandmother character and the running gag that the family still cannot tell if she actually won, even three years later. FDJ UNITED is also using the launch to highlight an operations milestone, describing these as its first ads certified by Ecoprod at the three-star level (the label’s highest rating), and saying it is the first advertiser in Kantar’s Top 100 to reach that level, following strengthened eco-production commitments in 2025. To reinforce why Friday the 13th is worth “eventizing,” FDJ cites a 2025 CSA study it commissioned: 41% of French respondents call themselves superstitious (up 7 points vs. 2022), 37% say they feel lucky, 22% say they are sensitive to the number 13 (up 2 points vs. 2022), and 38% say they would be inclined to play a gambling game on a Friday the 13th.
