    Racetrax: John Gorman

John Gorman, Chief Marketing Officer at Maryland Lottery & Gaming Control Agency (MLGCA), focused on Racetrax. This monitor game is a big sales performer in Maryland.
Racetrax represents 9% of sales, which is the fifth biggest [draw game] sales producer. “It is 10 years old and sales are still growing. It is so rare that a game breaks through that low single digit sales. I have only seen it twice,” asserted Gorman.
The informational screen is Racetrax’s main appeal. “The players get to strategize and come up with their own system. They think they can outfox the game,” said Gorman. “This game can be intimidating for the layman. The trifecta bet is the most popular, but the trifecta bets have multiple varieties.”
