In the midst of the New Zealand summer, when many Kiwis go on holiday, Lotto NZ launched a new marketing campaign reminding players that they can still pick up a Powerball ticket online (MyLotto).
“We knew one of the key reasons our players don’t play Powerball while on holiday is that they’re out and about enjoying themselves and simply forget to. So, we wanted to help make life easier for holidaying Kiwis and remind them that they don’t have to miss out on their ticket—playing online with MyLotto is a great option,” said Annemarie Browne, Chief Marketing Officer, Lotto NZ.
Launched in January 2022 and appearing across TV, online video, social, and in digital spaces, this was the first time Lotto NZ has advertised MyLotto above the line. The new campaign brought common holiday scenarios to life using Lotto NZ’s recognizable “talking dots” which feature in retail Powerball ads —such as holidaying in remote Kiwi holiday spots or fishing.
