    Alchemy3 and Hotels.com® Take Players Around the Globe

    Alchemy3, LLC and Hotels.com® are joining forces to help lottery players visit their favorite destinations around the globe. In addition to cash, lotteries will now be able to offer Hotels.com gift cards allowing winners endless options to create their “obvious” dream vacations.

    “Over the years we’ve learned that when it comes to non-cash prizes, lottery players are most receptive to rewards that they can customize,” said Paul Guziel, CEO, Alchemy3. “Since Hotels.com is the leading online accommodation booking website, there is quite a broad base of options for lottery players to choose from including hotels, all-inclusive resorts and even bed & breakfasts.”

    As lotteries offer their core products as an “entertainment” option, they continue to align with other entertainment entities to reinforce their position in the marketplace.

    “Our clients have asked us to bring forward brands that support their core messaging—that playing the lottery is fun and entertaining. Hotels.com is a great partner to help reinforce such messaging,” Guziel noted.

    Lotteries can also incorporate the brand’s biggest fan “Captain Obvious™” into lottery ticket and collateral designs. “The skinny, bearded Captain who is typically dressed in military/bellhop garb will provide for immediate recognition allowing lottery players to understand the benefits of choosing the Hotels.com branded game,” said Todd Tomlin, Global Head of Gift Cards for Hotels.com. “We look forward to working with lotteries to brainstorm how we can provide even more added value to the program.”

    Alchemy3 is currently designing programs to launch the Hotels.com game in 2018. “We look forward to sharing our vision and creative marketing executions of the ‘Obvious Choice’ games with our customers,” Guziel concluded.
