TLF Publications, Inc. owners Terri Markle and Bruce La Fleur announced that Byron La Fleur has been named Co-CEO of TLF Publications, Inc.
Byron graduated with his Masters of Business Administration with top honors from Hood College in May 2021. He attended his classes during the evenings and summer while working full time for TLF Publications.
“Byron joined our family business in 2009 while completing his senior year at University of Maryland College Park,” said TLF Publications Founder & Co-CEO Terri Markle. “For the last 12 years, he has honed his skills in every aspect of our business, initially starting with writing articles, coding data and running AV for our conferences, but quickly advancing to organizing digital conferences and digital product lines, speaking on panels and programming events.
“I admire Byron’s diligence in continuously developing his skill sets to take over running this business. It has been no secret that Bruce and I were delighted when Byron first came to work for our company. During the pandemic, Byron led the company’s efforts to help the lottery industry with his 2020 digital summer conference series. He then organized the lottery industry’s fully-digital conference exhibition for our Winter 2021 conference.”
“I have always been proud to call Byron my son,” exclaimed senior TLF Publications, Inc. team member Bruce LaFleur. “I am equally proud to call him my colleague. Byron has magnificently led us through the most difficult period of the company’s 30-year life. He has the talent, tenacity, and drive of Terri. He has my luck. He is a fierce competitor. Stand in his way at your peril.”
“We like to joke that Byron is due for his 30-year achievement award from the lottery industry,” added Markle.
TLF Publications was founded in 1990. Its first product was the Compendium of Lottery Statistics.
