Up until recently, eSports betting has remained under the radar, but market research indicates betting on eSports is growing just as fast, if not faster, than eSports itself. As COVID-19 pandemic continues to create an unprecedented disruption at the gaming industry due to the suspension of the most popular sports betting competitions and leagues, eSports betting is getting more popular and offers an attractive alternative proposition that responds to the increased demand for content. According to H2 Gambling Capital’s projection, the gross win from eSports betting will grow by almost 40% this year and is expected to double in size by 2024.
