Pollard Banknote Limited (PBL) announced the addition of DIG DUG™—the classic arcade game—to its robust portfolio of licensed games. Under an agreement with BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc., Pollard Banknote is excited to introduce the DIG DUG™ brand to the lottery industry, facilitating its first appearance on instant tickets.

“Pollard Banknote’s suite of retro brands has proven to perform exceptionally well across the lottery market,” said Brad Thompson, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Pollard Banknote. “We are thrilled to build on this momentum by endorsing DIG DUG™ as a new option for lotteries that want to launch their next classic video game brand, or as a remarkable first-time introduction of a video game-themed instant ticket. We can also pair DIG DUG™ with one or more of our other classic video game properties for a retro-packed instant ticket with a real arcade feel.”

In other contract news, PBL announced that its subsidiary, Diamond Game, has received a three-year contract extension from the Missouri Lottery for its Pull-Tabs, dispensers, and related services. This contract will be extended through September 30, 2023.

The Pull-Tabs program launched in 2013 as part of a pilot program to return Lottery Pull-Tabs to the market. At the conclusion of the pilot program, the Lottery issued a Request for Proposal resulting in a contract award to Diamond Game as the sole supplier to the Pull-Tabs program effective October 1, 2017. The Lottery has exercised its extension options under this contract. The program not only contributes to public education through the Lottery, but also supports non-profit veteran and fraternal organizations in Missouri.

PBL announced that its subsidiary, Pollard Games, Inc., doing business as International Gamco (“Gamco”), has received a five-year contract extension from the Idaho Lottery Commission for its PullTabs program. As a result, the Gamco contract will be extended through June 30, 2026.

Gamco has provided paper pull-tabs to the Idaho Lottery since 1995 and became its sole supplier in 2008. In 2012, the Idaho Lottery introduced electronic pull-tabs, TouchTabs®, in age-controlled social establishments. The TouchTabs product is serviced by Diamond Game as a subcontractor to Gamco.
