In December, CARRUS announced the acquisition of IDEMIA’s gaming terminal division. It will allow the firm to expand operations to new lottery and sports betting operators. Developed within IDEMIA for more than 25 years, the gaming terminal division has demonstrated great technical and commercial success. The new company—CARRUS GAMING—will incorporate IDEMIA’s current workforce. Production and after-sales services will also continue at the SaintÉtienne-du-Rouvray site in Normandy, France.
“This acquisition is a game changer for CARRUS, who with 132 years’ experience in the horse racing sector, continues to grow internationally and is branching into new areas of lottery and sports betting. The newly formed division, CARRUS GAMING, strengthens the Group and opens up new perspectives. In addition, we are delighted to welcome new gaming industry experts,” said Jérôme Carrus, Chairman, CARRUS.
