In the iLottery & Lottery Modernization segment, the focus turned to digital gaming. Drew Svitko, Executive Director, Pennsylvania Lottery quickly reviewed how a budget crisis in Pennsylvania resulted in the rapid adoption of new game categories, new distribution channels, cashless payment options and lottery modernization initiatives.

In 2017, Pennsylvania Lottery launched Keno (May 1), iLottery (May 22) and Xpress Sports (August 14). Speed to market dictated a turnkey solution to minimize disruption. “Lotteries need to capitalize on groundwork, powerful brand, need for growth and supportive stakeholders,” said Svitko.
