In the followup Corporate Partners Panel, Grief said “anytime there is a player affinity to a great brand like the Houston Texans that is a win for the Texas Lottery. A big change came when the lottery began selling tickets at the stadium. We already had great success selling at the state fairs. The fans have responded wonderfully to getting free merchandise with the purchase of scratch games. We see this as a long-term relationship.”
Grissom stressed after each season the team looks at what worked and what did not for each partner: “The Texans have a partner mini-camp that we host every spring. In the summer we look for two or three smart goals that we can claim. At the end, we examine the results.”
