Stephanie Weyant, Deputy Executive Director, Marketing & Products, Pennsylvania Lottery showed how lotteries can increase draw game sales, in some cases by as much as 80%, without a matrix change or price increase. The solution is daily drawings. She shared the sales impact of changing two games—Match 6 Lotto and Cash 4 Life—from twice weekly drawings to daily drawings. “We experienced a 70% increase in Match 6 sales,” explained Weyant.

Cash 4 Life was also similar to Match 6 in that about 60% of sales occurred on the draw days (Mondays and Thursdays). So the lottery shared the sales impact with the Cash 4 Life group. After changing from twice-weekly to daily draws, Cash 4 Life “sales in Pennsylvania increased by 97%,” said Weyant. “Overall games sales (for all states) increased by about 75%.”
