Andy Duncan, CEO of Camelot UK Lotteries spoke about the path of his company up to now and his vision for its future.
“We think hard about retail access and digital access. So, we’ve expanded our retail estate from 27,000 to 47,000 over the last five or six years while also massively building our internet and mobile capability.” They have also had 93% digital growth since 2010 with over 20% of sales coming from digital.
They have taken lessons from Domino’s and Starbucks business models in that mobile is becoming their core point. As of right now nearly 50% of the UK Lotteries’ sales come from mobile.
The company is converting to agile test-and-learn methods for projects. They have also decreased the size of their teams to something called “pizza sized.”
