Steve Van Binsbergen, VP of Rogers Smart Community, kept with the consumer theme of the conference and gave a presentation on the technology being used by companies today to better sell to the customer.
The technologies that he focused on were mobility, omni-channel, mobile wallet, CRM technologies and identity management technologies.
Van Binsbergen gave specific points of how these technologies could help the lottery business to expand distribution, move lotto to mobile platforms (both for gaming and other purchases), help traffic flow, grow the consumer base and make transactions more secure for the seller and consumer. He also emphasized that these technologies are not only for growing the consumer base but also for easier and more effective business management.
“Mobile is pervasive. Retail is embracing omni-channel, CRM powers customer intimacy, mobile wallet empowers more transactions, and identity management enhances security and reduces fraud,” stressed Van Binsbergen.
